Dr. Finch has spent a lifetime of serving the community and the country. As a young woman, she enlisted in the United States Army, until medically discharged.  Afterwards, she attended Arizona State University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness.  She then earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University.

Her first path after school led her to Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky, where she worked as an associate veterinarian taking care of thoroughbred race horces, a lifelong passion.

She was then hired by the New York Racing Association to work as a Lasix veterinarian at Belmont Park, the last leg of horse racing's Triple Crown. She was entrusted with the care and health of horses valued in the millions of dollars, including American Pharoah, the 2015 Triple Crown winner.

As COVID forced a shutdown to all racing in 2020, Dr. Finch was again called to serve her government by the USDA.  She took a position as a Veterinary Medical Officer at the Douglas, AZ Port Of Entry.  Dr. Finch was responsible as head of the port for the inspection of up to 1,500 horses and cattle daily imported into the United States from Mexico. She and her staff were the last line of defense in keeping the beef supply safe.

Due to DOGE cuts by the Trump Administration, her position and many others were eliminated, and Dr. Finch decided to realize a lifelong dream of opening her own private practice. As a veterinarian specializing in equine, she saw a need in rural Cochise County for a veterinarian that is mobile.  Thus, she opened Bisbee Veterinary Services in July 2025.

Dr. Finch is a proud Bisbee resident.  She lives with her husband and 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 mules, too many chickens to count, and has a small farm where she is an avid gardner.
